CULT CORNER

More than 30 years after 11-year-old Jonny Quest set out on an adventurous prime time run on ABC, TNT, TBS and the Cartoon Network are bringing him back as a teen-ager for new adventures.

The three networks will premiere THE REAL ADVENTURES OF JONNY QUEST with a two-hour movie, "Jonny Quest vs. The Cyber Insects," then air episodes 21 times each week.

Based on the 1964 show, "The Adventures of Jonny Quest," the "Real Adventures" takes the best of the classic -- global adventures, technology and teamwork -- and updates it for the '90s.

Jonny (J.D. Roth) is still traveling with his scientist father, Dr. Benton Quest (George Segal); his friend, Hadji (Michael Benyaer); his dog Bandit; and a former government secret agent, Race Bannon (Robert Patrick). A new character, Race's adopted daughter Jessie (Jessie Douglas), will join them.

The Quest team will solve crimes and mysteries in the real world as well as fighting evil-doers in virtual reality. SUNDAY 7 p.m. TNT.
