One of the unusual events for cable this fall will be the simultaneous launch of the new Jonny Quest series on TNT, TBS Superstation and Cartoon Network.
Each of the networks has started running 15-second teaser ads with a JQ logo that will lead into other spots explaining that a new Jonny Quest is coming in early August.
Stephen Croncota, senior vice president and creative director of Cartoon Network, said the show will be supported by the biggest campaign the company has ever done for a new series and will become a blueprint for bringing back other Hanna-Barbera characters, such as the Jetsons and Scooby Doo, with new shows.
