The following appeared in the Chicago Tribune. The citation is (1995-05-03) "JONNY'S ON A QUEST IN 1995". Chicago Tribune KIDNEWS p. 8. Only the Quest portion is presented.
A boy's life: Jonny Quest, the 12-year-old cartoon character who had adventures all over the world with his scientist dad during the 1960s, is getting a major blowout next year, with a live-action movie, two-hour animated film and new animated series. One of the producers of the live movie will be the same people behind the "Lethal Weapon" and "Superman" movies. Series creator Hanna-Barbera wants to give the same attention to Jonny that is currently being given to "The Flintstones." (You did know this is the Year of the Flintstones, didn't you?) Jonny hung out with his father, Dr. Benton Quest, too-cool bodyguard Roger "Race" Bannon, mystical kid and best friend Hadji and Jonny's pesky bulldog Bandit. The animated movie will air on Turner Network Television (TNT) sometime in the beginning of next year. Work on the live-action flick will also start in 1995. Say, wonder what Elijah Wood looks like with blond hair...
