Hi, Jonny here. I love to go sailing. It's fast and fun! The fresh air
blowing past you as you slice through the water, the speed of the boat,
the beauty of the sea or lake, it's great! Except, of course, when
you're chasing bad guys like Derek Armwood. Most of the time, though,
it's cool, and there are lots of places you can go sailing, from lakes
to bays to oceans. Here are some web sites that give more information
on sailing, how to do it safely, whom to contact and, of course, where
to go. Surf around and you're sure to find out how you can get on board
and in the water fast! Links:
- Guide to Sailing: great for information on sailing plus links to different sites. Good for beginners.
- Marine Data Internet: information on boat industry, nautical publishers and boat owners. Manages databases on a variety of subjects and events.
- Ocean World: cool info and links to sailing, racing, motorboating and related activities.
- Sail 4U: the "place to be" for those interested in boats and sailing. Good links, too.
- International Boating Library: good collection of resources on all aspects of sailing and other water sports.
- Global Waterway Systems: Maritime listings, information and links.
- US Coast Guard: their web page for any information you need on them.
- Mark Rosenstein's Sailing Page: good directory of sailing information, history, links, clubs, and more! Great source for researching.
